Why is being part of a team incredibly important?  You can see all of the benefits below.  Not mentioned is one of the most important, in this business it is extremely difficult for an individual, but teams succeed.

Team benefits: Team Zimmermann with Jim & Kathy:

1)    Free health e-newsletter to send to your family, friends, and contacts.  This is an informative, monthly newsletter with four articles; Testimonial, Nutrition, Skin Care, and Healthy Lifestyle.  You supply the mailing list and we take care of the rest.  There are statistics available for you to use for follow up, including who opened, and who clicked through to your website.  This has proven to be an effective tool for recruiting new preferred customers and, more importantly, new distributors.

2)    Access to weekly webcasts for educational purposes and training. This allows for you to get additional free training and for your out of town prospects to learn about the business.  This is a very effective tool as you are first learning the business to help close your prospects with an experienced presenter/speaker.

3)    If you are located in Green Bay, Wi, Access to Health and Freedom seminars at 1240 Main St. every first Thursday of the month or at Jim and Kathy Zimmermann’s Westside home by appointment.  If you are not local, remember that there are weekly webcasts that you can take part in.  The Health and Freedom Seminars are critical to understanding the products and the business opportunity.  That is why we have them weekly.

4)    Spa party supplies and staff—this is an effective way to introduce our products and the business when you first buy your business center. The party is an open house with product displays, literature and additional related services like pilates demonstrations. You invite your guests and the team helps you to introduce your prospects to the products and opportunity.

5)    On-line services for training, web hosting, marketing materials and order processing.  We will set up your website initially, and train you on how to manage and modify it.

6)    Team oriented sales calls with prospects. You are never alone. Someone will always support you. When you first acquire a business center, we encourage you to just invite your prospects to listen to our opportunity. The more experienced team members will do the selling. The more prospects you invite, the higher your success levels will be. This means you are not selling but rather inviting people to learn about the opportunity.

7)    You will be working on an active team. Both of us are actively working to build our team full time. Full time in this business is about 20 hours a week. Our success is your success for two reasons:

a)     As we add distributors, they are placed underneath the last person to join with our Binary Compensation plan. There are advantages to joining sooner rather than later.  If you don’t understand Binary Compensation, there is a video below for you to watch.

b)    We have a proven system in place to actively recruit distributors that can be duplicated to better help our team members succeed.

Our team can only be successful when the rest of the team members succeed. This is what drives great results and continued teamwork.  Our philosophy of teamwork is what makes Team Zimmermann unique in our industry.

The last time I posted I talked about the realization that building a strong team is essential to building our business.  Today, I want to give you an example of the type of people who we have attracted.

I am going to go through a short list of our team.  Remember, when one of us succeeds, it helps all of us succeed.  This is why we want to surround ourselves with successful, and highly professional people.

I will start with Jim and Kathy Zimmermann.  Kathy has been the top sales person at every company that she has been at, mainly in the telecommunications industry.  Jim has been an industrial sales person, covering multi state territories.   We decided to make a change in our hectic lives to allow us to spend more time with our three kids and purchased our first company.  We owned two companies prior to working our current business full time.  We had great success with both companies, but realised that we can have more time freedom, earn more money, and have our income be residual by working with our current company.

Also included in our team are: A commercial construction and development company owner; Certified Public Accountant; Furniture/Decorating store owner; Minor league hockey team president; Registered Physical Therapist; Former professional football player with the Green Bay Packers, Detroit Lions, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers; Tennis Professional; School Teachers; Stay-at-home moms; Restaurant owner; Residential construction company owner; Certified financial planner; Sales professionals.

This gives an idea of the caliber of people that are attracted to our team/company.

Check back soon for information on what sets our team apart.

When we were first introduced to network marketing, we tried the same old tactics that everyone is taught, contact your family, friends, neighbors, etc.  Work this warm market and you will find success.  This is not necessarily true, but it is a good start.

After a short period of time, it became apparent that the warm market would only be a starting point.  We had to branch out, but how?  That is when it struck us that creating a network marketing team would be the way to introduce more people, and people in other geographical areas to our products and business opportunity.  We set out to build not just a team, but a GREAT team.  The obvious question is; If you build a strong team, isn’t everyone competing with each other?  The answer is an emphatic NO!  With the design of our compensation plan, Binary Compensation, we don’t compete, but we all succeed when the team succeeds.  It was with that realization that we set out to develop a strong team and build a infrastructure to support them.

Having a great team allows us to build our business by selling the features of the team, which brought us to the realization of what is really important to growing our business, We Sell People.  Yes, it is essential to sell product, which we do, and we are really sold on the benefits of the product.  But to build this business we really need to sell people.  This is the why we are building the best home based business team.

Check back shortly for my next post on who is part of Team Zimmermann.  This will show that building a solid, professional team is an incredible asset to business growth.

Our family health story began in 2005 when we made the commitment to get healthy. We began using pharmaceutical grade nutritional products and foods. Although our family did not have any major health concerns, we quickly realized how nice it was to eliminate many of the minor illnesses our family suffered from each year. After using these products for one year, we eliminated our son’s chronic strep throat, our daughter’s tummy aches and Kathy’s allergies. We also noticed the kids were not missing school due to illness because when they got a cold, it was only the sniffles. Most importantly, we have more energy and don’t suffer from the 3:00 pm fatigue problems we experienced in the past.

Our family has always been concerned about health but we didn’t have the knowledge to make the necessary changes to improve it. When Kathy’s father got very sick with Alzheimer’s, his specialist recommended that our family begin taking high quality nutritional supplements. Although he couldn’t help her father anymore, he said he was focusing his practice on preventative measures.  This is what led us to search for the highest quality products available.

The founder of the company that we chose is a microbiologist and immunologist, is a highly recognized scientist in the field of human-cell culture and medical-diagnostic technologies. He became an expert in growing cells and analyzing how these cells respond to the many free radicals the human body faces each day with pollution, stress, poor food choices, toxins in the water, etc.  In addition to a proper diet and healthy lifestyle, quality antioxidant vitamin and mineral supplements are another line of defense against the effects of these free radicals.

Since all of our current diets are not sufficient to provide the level of antioxidants needed to keep our cells healthy, our company founder created a quality nutritional supplement that can deliver the essential nutrients that are missing from our diets. The USDA conducted a survey of 16,000 Americans and found that not one person obtained 100% of essential nutrients such as magnesium, vitamin E, and zinc from the food they consumed. Similarly, children and adolescents did not obtain enough essential nutrients such as folate, vitamin C and calcium. The nutritional products that we take are well balanced and bioavailable. Bioavailability is very important in the nutritional supplement industry since in tests it was found that 54% of the over the counter nutritional supplements on the market didn’t disintegrate properly. This points to the importance of choosing a quality nutritional supplement.

Our nutritional supplements have made a major change in our health.  Because of our increased emphasis on our own health, we decided to become independent distributors.  It was a very easy process, and having owned multiple brick and mortar businesses in the past, it was incredibly easy and inexpensive.  What a great life change for our family.  Not only have we increased our health, but we now have the freedom of working from home, on our schedule.

Dec 30

It has been quite a long time since I have posted on my blog, and it is definately time to start up again.  December is such a busy month between holidays, birthdays, and our anniversary that I tend to fall behind, sometimes way too far behind.

Having been involved with my SponsorDaddy business for almost three months now, I have been thinking about the difference between online and face-to-face recruiting quite a bit.  While I think that recruiting for any network marketing company now and in the future will have to include working online, there is no replacement for face-to-face contact.  I am on many email lists and receive hundreds, if not thousands, of emails every day.  While you can build relationships through the internet, it is still somewhat impersonal.  The advent of videos, such as Youtube, has made getting to know someone much easier on the internet, there is still a comfort level that cannot be replaced when you meet people face-to-face.  I like to believe that I am a pretty good judge of people when I meet them, and I tend to make decisions about them very quickly.  I normally have a very strong feeling about people soon after I meet them, Is this a person who I want to work with and be part of team with?  In person this is quite easy, over the internet, phone, chat, etc. it is much more difficult.

This is where social networking, blogs, Facebook, Myspace, Youtube, and the many other outlets that are now available are so important.  They allow you to get a glimpse of a person and learn quite a bit about them in a relatively short period of time.  While these sites are not new, they are growing extremely fast for people in network marketing and above the age of 30.  Initially alot of these sites were used mainly by high school, college, and young professionals, now they are being used more and more by people in my age group, 40’s and 50’s.

Don’t be afraid to experiment a little and show your personality.  It is really people and personalities that attract, not necessarily their business opportunity.

The team concept for building a network marketing business on the internet is very attractive for potential associates.  When we started this team, Kathy and I were the only full time network marketers on it.  Therefore, it is incumbent on us to search out the best ways to make our business attractive to join and find ways for the team to thrive and grow.  One of the untapped ways to recruit is the internet.  There are an incredible amount of tools, this blog for instance, available for free, or extremely inexpensive.  One of the things that I say is that people want to join people who have common goals, interests, and aspirations.

One of the fun ways to brand yourself and get noticed by prospects and search engines is social networking.  I want to mention a few fun resources to market yourself.  The first two are called Hubpages and Squidoo.  Both of these sites are free, and allow you to create basic webpages that you add content to and you are able to promote just about anything.  These sites see alot of traffic, and are very friendly to the search engines.  I highly recommend using both.  The other free areas that I recommend joining are Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter.  These are all very easy to use and again they are search engine friendly and help to create interest in any product, or network marketing opportunity that you have.

I have spent the last 3 months working on putting together a system that can be duplicated by the members of Team Zimmermann for recruiting on the internet.  There are many different courses, and opinions on what is the most effective system.  I have tried many different ideas, and have found blogging to be the one of the best.  The nice thing about blogs is that they can be updated often, and they allow people to get to know the blogger through their writing.  People can get feel for the personality of the blogger and tell if they would be comfortable working with them.  The blogger can also get across many of the important issues that he/she feels prospects need to know.  The other great thing about blogs is that they are easy to Search Engine Optimize as they are frequently updated with new information, therefore making them search engine friendly leading to many Organic(free) hits through the search engines.

After blogging for quite a while, another system was presented to me that allows for a much expanded scope of marketing on the internet.  While blogging is basically free, this system has a monthly charge, but delivers targeted leads to websites, capture pages, and many other great features.  The nice feature about this system is that it was setup as a network marketing opportunity, meaning that if you can recruit a relatively small downline, all of internet marketing can be self funded.  If you are interested, you can get more information on this incredible system HERE.

Team building has been a great way to build our business, especially in our warm market.  My mission now is to add to the great success that we are having in our warm market recruiting and have that same success recruiting on the internet.  This blog has a been a great tool to point prospects to show them the committment we have made and also the caliber of people we have been able to recruit into our business.  I have done a lot of work to drive traffic to this blog and expose as many people as possible to the information contained here.  But, I was looking for a way to broaden my recruiting even more, and came across an incredible system called SponsorDaddy.  It is basically a one-stop-shop for internet recruiting to ANY mlm business.  SponsorDaddy has everything needed to attract prospects and introduce them to numerous opportunities.  Some of the features of SponsorDaddy are capture pages, web pages, bio information, blogs, videos, ebooks, monthly lead input, and much more.  It has been fun to watch the growth of their system as they are still in pre-launch, with the hard launch in early November.

One of the things that I have been focusing on in my work in recruiting new distributors is to find interesting and new ways to recruit on the internet.  I am our marketing guinea pig.  I try new things, work through the bugs, and pass on the most efficient and profitable ideas to the rest of our team for them to implement.  I strongly believe that SponsorDaddy will be one of the tools that everyone on the team will be using.

As a networker, one of my main jobs is to present my business opportunity to as many people as possible.  Network marketing is truly a numbers game, the more people that are presented with my opportunity, the more people that will join.  I find it funny that it seems that everyone who joins a network marketing company is always waiting for that person to say, “I want to join you business, NOW”.  Not only is this incredibly rare, but chances are that the person who is presenting took their time and did their due diligence before they joined the company.  The question is, do you really want that person to jump at the business immediately?  Isn’t it better that they research, investigate, and join when they are ready?  We actually had one person join our team who was presented 5 years prior to joining.  I believe that if someone jumps on the opportunity without doing the proper research, they are much more likely to jump to the next, great offer.

The way we are developing our team is that we want to have distributors who are in for the long term, have a strong understanding of the business, fit in to our team environment, and are not looking for the next great product/company, but are looking for a great opportunity.  The network marketing industry has tremendous turnover, with many people jumping from company to company.  If they would understand that longevity, professionalism, product/company knowledge, and upline support will be the main factors in determining their success, it is possible that they would stick with an opportunity longer.

One of the greatest assets of our team is that our turnover is incredibly low.  We offer so much to support our team of distributors that they understand that they are in a unique situation.

It has been a while since I last posted, mostly due to the fact that I had to finish our e-newsletter and get it sent out.  Well, that time has finally come, the newsletter went out last night and this morning.  Because of the software that I use, it is easy track who reads the newsletter, how many times they go back and look at it, and who clicks through to any of the links that are on it.  When 1000’s of emails are sent, it is fun to check these statistics periodically.  We have a very responsive email list, so we average about 70% opens, which I think is quite good.  I strongly believe that this months e-newsletter is the most interesting and informative that we have put together, being that it is Breast Cancer Month, our theme is cancer, so I expect these numbers to rise at least to 80%.

I blogged in a previous post about Sue Macco, and her incredible story.  Every time that I read through her testimonial, I am blown away by how powerful her story.  It makes me confident that I am doing the right thing in maintaining my health, as well as promoting a healthy lifestyle through our great business.  It is so much easier to promote an opportunity and company when you are totally sold on the value of the product.  One of the things that I have always said since we started developing our team is that I wanted a mix of people who are involved for their health and people who are in it strictly for business purposes.  I am starting to change my opinion slightly, I think everyone who is succeeding is in it for their health.  The people who are in it strictly for business can also succeed, but I feel it is important that really value the benefits from our products.

Now, I am going to check to on my statistics and see how the newsletter is doing.  If you want a copy of this months newsletter, send me an email.  Otherwise, sign up for the newsletter and starting receiving it in November.
